B M - Pescara, fatal penalties. Roma 2020 wins 14-13 and moves up to A2
Once again, it is penalty shots that condemn Pescara Water Polo, which, like last Saturday, also loses game two on penalties, with a score of 14-13, seeing the dream of returning to A2 slip away. A huge disappointment for the white and light blues matured in Monterotondo, at the end of a challenge where coach Franco Di Fulvio's team could have achieved more. There were many mistakes in attack, some even glaring, that could have changed the course of the match. Instead, in the end, Calcaterra's goal was needed to equalize at 11-all (the same result of game one), a prelude to the penalty shots, where despite the two saves by Prosperi, the difference was made by the mistakes of Cunko, De Ioris, and Foglio. And so, Roma 2020 moves up to A2, overturning the home advantage and closing the series in two matches. Pescara is left to lick their wounds and find the strength to start over.
QUARTER SCORES: 3-2, 2-3, 3-4, 6-4
For Roma 2020, goals from Alessandrini (3), Romanini (2), Cariello (2), Moroni (2), Giacomozzi (2), Spinelli, Fiorita, and Fabrucci. For Pescara, goals from Calcaterra (5), Foglio (2), Cunko (2), Micheletti (2), De Ioris, and Giordano.
