Novi Beograd defeated Jadran in Split and set up a semifinal clash with Barceloneta

In the final round of the Champions League quarterfinals, the water polo team from Novi Beograd defeated a weakened Jadran in Split with a convincing 15-7 score, securing the first place in the group. In the semifinals of the final tournament on May 30, they will face the Spanish team Barceloneta, while in the other semifinal, Ferencvaros will play against Marseille.
In the last round, the French team lost to Olympiacos 12-8, setting up a showdown between Andrija Prlainović and Dušan Mandić in the semifinals. Ferencvaros easily beat Oradea 20-10 to advance, while Barcelona defeated Savona 17-10.
While the result didn't matter much to the Split team in this match, Novi Beograd's victory was significant. Novi Beograd's young players, future Serbian national team players, made a big contribution. Luka Gladović scored three goals, Strahinja Krstić added two, and alongside them, Lukić and Radović also scored three goals each. The most effective player of the match was Jadran's Duje Cuzi, with four goals.
