No. 14 Princeton Women's Water Polo Honors Class of 2025 With 16-7 Win Over Mercyhurst

PRINCETON – The No. 14 Princeton Women's Water Polo Team easily disposed the Mercyhurst Lakers, 16-7, at DeNunzio Pool on Sunday morning.

The Tigers started off on fire, recording the first eight goals of the game highlighted by a hat trick from Kayla Yelensky.

The Lakers began the second quarter with two tallies but Ally Lurie went back-to-back to stymie any potential run. Princeton led 10-3 at halftime.

Princeton led by as many as nine in the second half and was not threatened. Head coach Derek Ellingson's crew improved to 15-6 overall and 6-2 in the CWPA.

Prior to the game, the Tigers honored the Class of 2025. The group of Yelensky, Rachael Carver, Kate Mallery and Grace Houlahan have won 89 games and is one of only five classes in program history to win multiple conference titles. Yelensky led the Tigers with four tallies while Carver and Mallery also scored in the contest. Casey Weigel made nine saves in the win.

Goals: Yelensky 4, Davidson 3, A. Lurie 2, A. Houlahan 2, Carver 2, Krotts, Lucas, Mallery
