The first match under the new rules for the Serbian water polo national team will be played at the "Serbia 2025" tournament in Šabac. From June 13th to 15th, they will play alongside the Olympic champion lineup against France, Netherlands, and Romania.

Serbia will be grouped with Romania at the World Championship in Singapore (July 12 - 24).

On the first day of the tournament, on Friday at 6:30 pm France and the Netherlands will play, and two hours later Serbia and Romania will face off. The next day at 6:30 pm the Dutch and Romanians will meet, and in the second match at 8:30 pm France will be Serbia's opponent. On the final day on Sunday, the Romanians and French will play at 8:30 am, and at 6:30 pm the tournament will conclude with Serbia facing the Netherlands.

Last weekend, the Dutch and French played in the qualification tournaments for the participation in the 2026 European Championships in Belgrade, securing their spots as winners of their groups.

The Serbian players finished their preparations in Kragujevac on June 10. After two days of rest, they will continue their training in Šabac. Dušan Mandić will join them there. Following Šabac, they will move on to preparations in Trebinje, then participation in the tournament in Budapest from May 27 to 29, where they will compete against Hungary, Spain, and Montenegro.

"We worked hard in Kragujevac, and now it's time to see where we stand. These opponents are ideal for this phase of preparation, and we are eager for the matches," said Sava Ranđelović.
