Opening of a National U18 Development Center at the INSEP
The French Swimming Federation is pleased to announce the opening of a National Development Center (CNR) for water polo. Based at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance (INSEP), this long-awaited CNR project for the training of future players for our national teams is an important step for the structuring and development of water polo in France.
The FFN has clearly positioned this CNR as a resource center and gathering place for the best young French players under 18. As a pilot structure of our federal performance project, this CNR must significantly contribute to the results of the French junior teams in upcoming international events such as the 2028 Los Angeles and 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games. It must also allow clubs, through the education provided, to achieve their goals and shine at their highest level.
This CNR is primarily aimed at players already registered on high-level lists (Development) or identified within the various CNAHNs, enrolled in second grade up to twelfth grade (an exception is possible for ninth grade).
The CNR's objective is to support the athlete in adapting to the demands of high performance. To achieve this, a conducive performance environment will be offered, taking into consideration factors such as training conditions, school schedule adjustments, and medical monitoring. The CNR's supervision aims to support players in their individual and collective goals.
The CNR team will participate in the French National 1 Championship.
Applications to join the water polo CNR (see attached form) must be directly submitted to the Federation at this email address (magali.rathier@ffnatation.fr) before the deadline set for June 20, 2025.
A presentation video conference is scheduled for Monday, June 16 at 7pm.
