Men's National Team: Nineteen Travel to the Italian-Croatian Tour

On Friday morning, nearly the full squad of the men's national team, who are preparing for the World Championships in Singapore, trained together. The men do not spend much time at the Duna Arena, as on Saturday the team will head to Nápoly to practice with the Italians and then to Rijeka to train with the Croatians.
Players involved in last week's Champions League final four had a brief rest until Friday morning: today they joined the rest who started the World Championship preparation two weeks ago under head coach Zsolt Varga and his staff.
They don't linger at the Duna Arena for long: on Saturday, the team is already heading to Nápoly, where they will have a joint training camp with the Italians - including an official match on Monday. From there, the team will move to Rijeka to face the Croatians in what has become a traditional two-leg encounter, also with an official match on Thursday evening.
Nineteen players are traveling, with Márton Vámos and Soma Vogel set to join on June 16 according to the initial plans (although the goalkeeper, now a three-time Champions League winner, is already present, focusing on recovery and rehabilitation during the interim period). Vince Varga is preparing for the U20 World Championships starting next week and will join afterwards, while Zsombor Ekler has withdrawn from the squad.
National team head coach Zsolt Varga stated regarding the tour that "in the upcoming days, the main focus will be on team building to strengthen team unity. The players are in different conditions, with varying levels of physical and mental fatigue between those who have been training with me in recent weeks and those who have been playing in the Champions League. We aim to rotate players on the field; some may receive less playing time in the upcoming matches as it is important to gradually bring the squad to the same level. However, the emphasis at present is on developing the team spirit, which is essential for a good performance, and this type of foreign training camp is an excellent opportunity for that."
