Patriot Aquatics Girls, Del Mar Boys Claim Gold At 2024 Kap7 Champions Cup
Patriot Aquatics earned the gold medal in the Girls Division
Westmont, IL - November 11 - The 2024 Kap7 Champions Cup wrapped up yesterday at FMC Natatorium with champions crowned in two divisions and sportsmanship awards announced. In the girls division it was Patriot Aquatics winning gold, Newport Beach earning silver, and Diablo Alliance claiming bronze. Patriot Aquatics defeated Newport Beach 11-4 while Diablo Alliance beat SB 805 15-13 after penalties in the third place match. On the boys side it was Del Mar winning gold, Lamorinda earning silver, and CC United claiming bronze. Del Mar got the best of Lamorinda 12-8 in the final with CC United defeating Mission 13-9 in the third place match. For complete tournament results, click here.
Prior to the medal matches, the annual sportsmanship awards were announced. Named in honor of water polo legends Maureen O'Toole and Jody Campbell, the award recognizes excellent sportsmanship efforts from one member of each participating club.
