Premiere with a comfortable victory for our national team, 19-12 in France (pics)

With a comfortable victory, 19-12 over France, our National Youth Women's U19 team started their games in Group A of the European Championship in Zagreb.

Our representative team excelled in all areas and built a gap from the very first eight minutes when they took an impressive 7-2 lead. Then she managed the match properly - even though the French were down 10-8 - and won the final 19-12.

Our girls now turn their attention to the match against Hungary, tomorrow Monday (26/8, 11:30) which will largely determine the first place in the group. 

The first scorers for the Greek team were Despina Drakotou, Fotini Tricha and Ariadni Karabetsou who both scored four goals, while the girls of Eftychia Karagiannis showed absolute concentration throughout the match.
