Croatia until 19 in Szeged
The Croatian men's water polo team, players up to 19 years old, are in the final preparations for the European Championship, which awaits them from September 1 to 7 in the city of Burgas, in Bulgaria. An excellent test of what has been done during the previous part of the preparations awaits them this weekend at the strong international tournament "Daikin Cup" in neighboring Hungary, in Szeged.
Our water polo players traveled there today (Thursday, August 22), and at the tournament they will show their strength and knowledge with teams from Hungary, Italy, Germany and Serbia.
- We worked well, all the guys who are here now have satisfied their working and willing moments. Half of the players played in Buenos Aires at the Under-18 World Championship, which ended in the first half of July. Of course, they had to be regenerated, rested, and then physically stored again. It was not easy, but I think we are at an enviable level. We will see what kind of players we are compared to others - Zoran Bajić, coach of the Croatian under-19 national team, will say before departure.
Izbornik Bajić took 16 players to the tournament:
1. Antoine Špilar
2. Amar Fajković
