Young "sharks" get new rivals at U20 World Championship
The real reaction and beautiful victory of our U20 water polo national team at the World Championship, after losing to Spain in the quarterfinals.
The young "sharks" defeated Greece in a shootout 21:20 (3:2, 3:4, 5:5, 2:2, 8:7) and will compete for fifth place against the Serbian team tomorrow.
Montenegro started the duel with Greece better, taking a 5:2 lead, but their opponents turned it around to 8:6.
Our boys quickly erased the deficit, and the decision did not fall after 32 minutes of thrilling play.
The last two rounds decided the outcome in the penalty shootout.
After Andrija Bjelica saved Zervudakis' shot, Danilo Stupar missed the penalty shot for victory, but in the next attempt, Likudis hit the post.
Nebojša Petrović did not miss, securing the final score of 21:20.
During the regular match, Meldin Hadžić scored three goals, Danilo Stupar, Srđan Janović, and Ivan Marković each scored two, while Nebojša Petrović, Nikola Petrović, Radivoj Radanović, and Tim Perov each scored one.
Bjelica made 11 saves.
The match for fifth place will be played tomorrow at 17:30.
