Antares Swimming and Water Polo Latina returns to winning ways by narrowly defeating Castelli Romani at the end of a challenging match.
Just like in previous matches, the team under the leadership of President Bruno Davoli started strong, leading 3-0 at the end of a very good first half. However, a series of mistakes ensued, especially due to the eagerness to resolve the match individually, allowing the opposing team to close the gap to just one goal at 8-7 in the final moments. In the last hectic seconds, the team from Latina managed to control possession, thus securing the three points after the defeat in Lanciano, despite a poor performance. Coach Gubitosa’s team now climbs to fourth place tied with Zero9, their next opponents.
COACH MAURO GUBITOSA'S COMMENT:
"This year, more than ever, I truly struggle to understand the difficulties that arise among us at certain moments of the match. The only positive today is the three points, but if we don't improve, it will be almost impossible to perform well in the upcoming games."
CAPTAIN NICOLO’ TEMPERA'S COMMENT:
"The team fails to interpret the phases of the match, like a sailboat that doesn’t know how to take advantage of the wind and uses oars to navigate. It's time to adjust these sails and play all remaining matches as if they were finals."
