Mercato, Erica Hardy will also wear the Ekipe Orizzonte cap next season
Another market coup for Ekipe Orizzonte, which after having received the yes of the Australian Charlize Andrews closes another entry operation of international level.
In fact, next season Erica Hardy, a Canadian athlete with a French passport arriving from the Transalpine championship, will also wear the red and blue cap.
Universal player, born in Montreal on November 19, 1996, she is ready to move to Catania after her experience in Lille, in LUC Métropole.
Her journey in water polo began with the wind in her sails almost fifteen years ago in her homeland, with numerous successes in the youth field between 2010 and 2015, then continuing with the experience at Wagner College, which allowed her to being elected best athlete of the 2018-19 season and achieving an excellent placing with the Canadian national team at the 2019 World University Games.
Immediately afterwards came the transfer to the French championship, with four consecutive league titles won in the last four seasons and three French cups won between 2022 and 2024.
In the last year Erica Hardy also received several call-ups with the Transalpine national team, which allowed her to further mature at an international level.
In the next few weeks he will be available to the technical staff led by Martina Miceli, to begin a new experience that he has shown he strongly wants, as underlined by the president of Ekipe Orizzonte: «The meeting in Catania with Erica – says Tania Di Mario – also allowed us to greatly appreciate his human qualities. She came here on a very intense day for her, immediately transmitting great positivity to us regarding the possibility of playing with us. This is also a very important transfer operation for Orizzonte, in one of the most difficult seasons for me and for our club, as we always miss Giuseppe La Delfa very much. Until a few months ago I was lucky enough to also work on negotiations like this with him at my side and instead his absence increased the weight of the work to be carried out. It wasn't easy at all, but as always we all strive to draw inspiration from that Orizzonte style that he has always believed in."
