#CROATIA # CADET CHAMPIONSHIP

Summary of Day 1

On Friday, the Croatian Cadet Championship began with the first two rounds of matches in the groups in Makarska and the first round in the Rijeka groups, as well as the first, semifinal part of the competition.

In Group A in Makarska, Cavtat achieved a perfect record after two rounds with victories over Mornar and Solaris. In the second round, Mornar secured a likely battle for the second place in the group by defeating the home team Galeb by a single goal.

In Group B, Korčula has a perfect record after two matches. The KPK team first defeated Pošk, but in the second round, there was a local derby between KPK and Jug Adriatic osiguranje, which ended in Korčula's victory. Previously, Jug Adriatic osiguranje defeated the Zagreb club Aqua. However, this club, making its first appearance in a national competition, also had an interesting match in the second round. The match between POŠK 1937 and Aquae was one of the most closely contested, ending with just one goal difference. The young players from Split achieved victory, with Ivano Šimičić scoring two consecutive goals to secure the win for Pošk. Interestingly, out of the 7 goals scored by the winning team, Šimičić scored 5.

In the pool of Zdravko Ćiro Kovačić in Kantrida, Rijeka, only one round was played in groups C and D on Friday.
In Group C, Zagreb's Mladost convincingly defeated Opatija by 24 goals, with the Žapci winning the third quarter 10-0. Dorian Komar scored 7 goals. Jadran was also effective, defeating Zadar by 15 goals.

In Group D, two Zagreb teams recorded high victories. Medveščak defeated Osijek, and ZPK won against Rijeka's Primorje EB.
