Matches of the 8th round of the national junior championship were played on Sunday. The feature of this round was similar to Saturday's - convincing victories and matches devoid of competitive balance.
In Makarska, where Galeb MR played against Mladost, this was to be expected. The last-placed team faced the first-placed team, with Makarska having no points and Mladost with a 100% record.
The second team from Zagreb, Medveščak, also emerged victorious, defeating Mornar in an away match. The day before, Mornar had lost to Mladost. David Varga scored more goals for the away team than the entire home team, with 8 goals.
A similar scenario unfolded in Poljud, where Jadran hosted Zadar 1952. The home team was not deterred even though they started the match with only 13 players.
