Trieste hires Drazen Kujacic
MEN'S SERIE A1: NEW ADDITION FOR TRIESTE, THE UNIVERSAL DRAZEN KUJACIC JOINS

Transfer coup by Pallanuoto Trieste in preparation for the restart of the men's Serie A1 championship. The Samer & Co. Shipping sponsored club has hired Drazen Kujacic on a yearly contract. Born in Dubrovnik in 1990, playing as a utility player, he developed in water polo at Jug, then moved to Posk in Split, and from 2010 he played in France. He played in the French league for thirteen consecutive seasons, representing Dauphins de Sete, Montpellier, Nice, and from 2019 to 2024 En Tourcoing. With the team from Lille, he even faced Pallanuoto Trieste in the Euro Cup 2023/2024 qualification phase, scoring 4 goals in a match eventually won by the Trieste team 12-11.
"I'm really excited to start this new adventure," explains Kujacic. "I joined the team some time ago and immediately felt at home. I found a united locker room, good work ethic, and a lot of harmony. I can't wait to get into the water for an official match; I'm here to give my best and to help Pallanuoto Trieste achieve the highest possible."
"Drazen is a serious and disciplined guy," analyzes coach Maurizio Mirarchi. "He's an excellent defender, skilled in attack as well, combining physical strength with good technical qualities. He will certainly be very useful and will give us a big hand in the second half of the season." "A quality athlete," adds general manager Andrea Brazzatti, "he performs well in both phases. He has been training with us for over a month and has immediately made himself available, not sparing effort and spirit of sacrifice. He is definitely an important reinforcement. Drazen Kujacic will be eligible to play from the first day of the return round of the men's Serie A1 championship, namely from the match scheduled on Saturday, January 25, against Nuoto Catania.
