The match was almost entirely one-sided from the first minute, with everything practically settled after the first half of the match. After the first two quarters, Primorje had a lead of 12-3! The Rijeka team did not stop there as they had a +10 lead in the middle of the third quarter, with a score of 13-3 and 14-4 for Primorje EB.

Excellent goalkeeper Antoan Špilar

In the second semifinal match, Jug players defeated Zagreb's Mladost, just like they did in their first match, back in the 1st round of the group stage. The evenly matched battle separated in the pool in the first quarter and a half, until the score was 3-3, when Jug quickly took a significant lead at 6-3. First, Petar Kulaš scored twice from the penalty spot, and then Ivano Lončar increased the lead to 6-3 from a positional attack. These were essentially decisive moments of the semifinal match because after that, Jug did not allow the opponents to come closer to less than 2 goals of difference. Moreover, at the beginning of the last period, Jug had a 12-7 lead. The Mladost team managed to reduce to 12-10 with three consecutive goals thirty seconds before the end, which turned out to be the final result of the match.

Undoubtedly, one of the key players for Jug's victory was their goalkeeper Antoan Špilar with 13 saves. As for the scorers, Petar Kulaš was the top scorer for the winners (4 goals), while Fran Dobrić scored 3 goals for Mladost.
