Juniors Open 2025
The honor of opening the competition in the new year in our water polo goes to juniors. Namely, from January 2nd to 5th, the Zadar pool in Višnjik will be the host of the final tournament of the Croatian Junior Championship.
Eight teams are coming to Zadar and are divided into two groups.
Group A – Mornar, POŠK 1937, Zadar 1952, and Primorje EB
Group B – Mladost, Jadran, Jug Adriatic osiguranje, and Solaris
After competing in groups on the first two days of the tournament (January 2nd and 3rd), the elimination matches begin on the third day. The first-placed teams from groups A and B will qualify directly for the semifinals, while the second and third-placed teams will play quarterfinals on January 4th in the morning (A2-B3 and B2-A3).
On the same day, Saturday, January 4th, in the evening, the semifinal matches will follow, as well as the beginning of the battle for places from 5th to 8th. Sunday, January 5th, the last day of the competition, is reserved for the final fight for ranking.
We emphasize that you will be able to watch these matches from the Zadar finals, the battles for the national champion title, also through the HVS TV broadcast.
Our cameras will broadcast, with a commentator, both Saturday's semifinal matches starting at 19:10 and 20:30.
In addition, HVS TV will broadcast the entire Sunday program, meaning all matches for the final ranking, with the last two Sunday matches, the match for the third place (11:40 AM), and the final (1:00 PM) will be broadcast with a commentator.
Split's Mornar won the title of Croatian junior champion last season by defeating Mladost in the final (13:10).
