Ibiza Island to Host the Second Stage of the 2025 World Cup Open Water
Exciting news in the aquatics world. Spain will host the second stage of the prestigious 2025 World Cup Open Water. Santa Eulària des Riu (Ibiza) will be the venue for a competition that will bring together the best swimmers in this discipline from around the world from April 25th to 27th. The event, granted by World Aquatics to the Spanish Swimming Federation (RFEN), will be organized with the institutional support of the Ibiza Council. It's worth mentioning the collaboration of the Santa Eulària des Riu town hall, hosting all events (providing the best of Ibiza to national and international athletes), the Government of the Balearic Islands, and the Balearic Swimming Federation.
In addition to the prestigious World Cup, the Spanish Open Water Championships (Absolute and Master categories) and the Master World Cup will also take place on the same weekend at the same venue. This change in dates will see the Spanish Nationals, initially scheduled for May 9th to 11th, moved earlier. The updated regulations and detailed event information will be published soon.
