Alimos celebrates first European win on penalties, beating Donk 13-11


Alimos celebrated its first European win in the group stage of the Women's Champions League, prevailing 13-11 on penalties against Donk on Matchday 3.

The match was highly competitive with both teams taking turns in the lead, ending tied at 5-5 in the fourth quarter. There, the hosts took a two-goal lead (8-6), but the Dutch found attacking solutions and leveled the score to 8-8, which was the result at the end of regular time.

In the penalty shootout, the winning team emerged, with Teo Lorantos' players being successful in their executions unlike those of Donk, who saw Bos miss. Rimbanska scored in the last penalty for Alimos, setting the final score at 13-11.
