Guests celebrated in the derby
In what appears to be a derby-meeting of Dubrovnik's qualifying group for entry into the Champions League, the guest from Herceg Novi celebrated.
The key was the second leg, which Jadran (HN) won as many as 5: 1, and went from a minus to a plus, which they even increased over time.
The home team opened the match very well. It's true that Herceg Novi took a minimal lead (0:1), but Žuvela from the box and Burić forcefully from the outside position brought the advantage to the southern side. From the counter, Sladović equalized, and with the goals of Cabanas and Mozare. the Croatian representative led for the first time with a two-goal difference. We mention the first time because the hosts repeated it again, right at the end of the first quarter, with a goal by Marko Žuvela for 5:3.
But then the second quarter followed and bad minutes for our representative. More precisely, in the first two minutes there was still plus 2 for Jugaše (6:4), but the guests' turn followed and their 4-0 run led to a result reversal, 8:6 for the guests from Herceg Novi. Unfortunately, five consecutive attacks with a player more for the home team remained unused, so that also "contributed" to the big turn.
At the beginning of the third period, Russian Dmitrij Holod scored to give Jadran (HN) a 9:6 lead or a three-goal difference, which the Montenegrins defended quite skillfully, and increased it a little more towards the end of this quarter. With a goal by Vasilij Radović for 12:9.
In the last eight minutes of the match, despite the fact that they were without as many as three players in the rotation (the third personal one for Milojević, V. Radović and Sladović), Jadran from Herceg Novi succeeded preserve the advantage of 2-3 goals and in the end celebrated 14:12. A very significant victory for them, which now turns the team from Montenegro into the favorite to win first place. Although, for such a thing, they still need to beat Barcelona and Dinamo from Bucharest.
On Saturday, Jug Adriatic osiguranje will play against Barcelona from 18:30 with a broadcast on Arena Sport 2.
