Spain in Chengdu (China) for an exciting Junior World Cup
Our women's youth team is already in Chengdu (China) for the Championship of the World in this category. One of the dates marked in red on the annual aquatic calendar and in which Spain will start, as usual, among the favourites for the title in a summer that is being truly spectacular for our grassroots water polo. strong>
The team led by Marian Díaz has been working since August 21 at the CAR facilities in Sant Cugat preparing for the tournament. Weeks of adaptation, hard work, preparing tactical aspects and important details facing the championship in China (six hours later there than in Spanish peninsular time).
Spain has been placed in Group A together with Italy ia, the Netherlands and Greece. In total, 16 participating teams.
The Spanish squad is as follows: Itziar Almeda, María Reyes Díaz, Carlota Peñalver and Ariadna Temprano (CE Mediterrani), Rita Gurri and Martina The following players were selected: Claveria (CN Mataro), Itziar Martinez and Estel Ramon (CN At. “The team is ready to face the World Cup. We had a very good training camp, making the most of the time and ideas and the objectives are very clear. We are going to China with everything we can,” the coach told us.
