2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases changes to the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division schedule.
Comprised of Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, the University of Colorado “A”, the University of Colorado “B”, the University of Utah “A” and the University of Utah “B”, the Rocky Mountain Division will contest its 17th season as part of the CWPA.
In the history of the division, Utah (2007, 2009, 2012, 2018, 2019), Colorado (2008, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023) and Arizona State University (2011, 2013) have previously won the group’s title. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Rocky Mountain Division schedule is confirmed as of Sunday, September 8, with changes to the 12-game weekend of Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton, Colo.,. Due to time constraints, games on September 28 will use five-minute quarters with no timeouts and no overtime. Competition on September 29 will use six-minute quarters with no overtime and teams limited to one timeout her half.
On Saturday-Sunday, October 12-13, the regular season comes to a close at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, with another 12 games. Games on October 12 will utilize collegiate club regulation rules, while competition on October 13 will use six-minute quarters with no overtime and teams limited to one timeout her half.
The division championship is slated for Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27, at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center with the champion earning a spot in the 2024 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on the weekend of Friday-Sunday, November 8-10, at a site to be determined.
