Young Dolphins from first place go to the quarterfinals of the European Championship
The junior team of Serbia finished in first place at the competition in Group B of the European Championship for 19-year-olds in Burgas with a maximum of nine points.
Miloš Korolija's team convincingly beat Germany 10:4 (3:1, 1:1, 2:1, 4:1) in the third round.
By taking first place in the group, our team secured a free day and direct placement in the quarterfinals. Serbia's next rival on Thursday will be the winner of the play-off duel in which the Netherlands, winner of Group C, and Montenegro, which took fourth place in Group B, will meet without a point.
The Germans, led by Nebojša Novoselac as a coach, never took the lead and never equalized. However, they resisted our team until the middle of the third quarter. In the 20th minute, Serbia led with 4:3, but by the end of this section, our team went to 6:3. In the last eight minutes, Serbia continued to play excellent defense, the attack worked again and a sure triumph was recorded.
