Women's U19 European Championships - smooth road to the top four, from here it will be difficult
Our women's U19 national team won easily in the quarter-finals of the European Championship in Zagreb, although the Israelis they did not give their skins cheaply. They fought hard throughout, in the second quarter they made things difficult for our team, but in the second half the real difference came out.
Eszter Mácsai started with a great action goal, then the match continued with an Israeli five - and an equaliser. For another minute and a half, the game seemed balanced, then Mácsai scored two more (one was more beautiful than the other), but in order not to make the whole thing seem like a one-woman show, Zoé Lendvay increased the advantage first from a goal and then from an escape, so after eight minutes we led 5-1.
Carmel Rahum's commendable cross was blocked, but the answer came quickly, Hajdu Katta rounded off the five, but then the Israelis also got one, and they didn't make a mistake either, i.e. We were 6-3 at that point. We stopped a little at the front, the shots weren't really accurate, and the Israeli zone reached the center penetrations, so with Miya's cross, the Israelis were able to close to 6-4.
Bíbor Pogonyi broke the silence with a nice snap from the center anyway. after more than four minutes. However, we couldn't handle Miya, she already scored her fourth goal, this time from a man advantage, but Hajdu hit the crossbar many times, also from the outside. Before we were more tense, Lendvay came from a counterattack and converted the penalty with his own hands, so we led 8-5 at halftime, although we have seen better from the girls in the second quarter - or if you like, we have only seen better from them so far.< /p>
In the lead-up to the second half, Luca Horváth crushed a lead from behind, and then substitute Luca Torma touched it beautifully for a shot from behind. In front, Pogonyi bombed through the zone, so that in three minutes we managed to return the game to the expected direction (10-5). It's true, in the next five minutes, the momentum waned a bit again, and the Israelis fought very tenaciously, and even took advantage of a defensive inattention to sneak closer again. Arriving within the last minute, Torma made sure that he did not have three - in fact, practically protected windbreakers - with a dazzling save. As it turned out, it was thanks to him that there were five between them, because the others started, which became an exhibition at 0:07. in front of the horn (11-6).
Zsófi Horváth seized the initiative at the beginning of the final part, first he scored a clean center goal, then an adventurous one - we had three shots in one attack, a corner and two goalposts, for the second the ball bounced to our center, who greeted him warmly (13-6). The next goal also remained in the family, the twin brother, Luca, scored a goal. After that, the set-up defense worked at a disadvantage, and Dominika Kardos aimed accurately from a distance. In the end, the Israelis scored as well, the referees, who were judging in a somewhat strange way, awarded five points against Torma, who was sent off after a blown exhibition in the center. Then Miya made herself heard after a long time, her cross somehow slipped, then in the last second she scored another five (this was her seventh goal), in between the two, Emma Gulyás-Oldal also finished off a fort from the wrong-hand side, so the last another confident victory was born in the midst of a two-minute goal festival.
