Kasey Umlauf Returns to University of Michigan for 2025 Season
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Kasey Umlauf (Sr., Northfield, Ill./New Trier Township) will return to the University of Michigan women’s water polo roster for the 2025 season.
She enters her fourth season at Michigan after compiling 24 goals, eight assists, 19 drawn exclusions, 16 steals and six field blocks over 68 games during the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons. Following a freshman season in which she accounted for three goals, an assist, three drawn exclusions, two steals and a field block during a 21-5 league championship season for the Wolverines in 2021, she returned to Ann Arbor a year later to rack up 11 goals, one drawn exclusion and a field block in 27 games as the Maize & Blue finished 26-9 and repeated as league champions in 2022.
Following a redshirt season in 2023, she appeared in 32 games during the 2024 campaign with 10 goals, seven assists, 15 drawn exclusions, six steals and four field blocks as Michigan placed second at the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championship to complete a 21-11 season to cap off a 68-25 run with Umlauf on the active roster.
