Water polo club Primorac from Kotor, the current champion of Montenegro, issued a statement demanding urgent changes in the Water Polo Association of Montenegro, and the residents of Kotor also proposed a candidate for president. It is the legendary water polo player and former national team player, Veljko Uskoković.
The announcement of the team from Kotor is transmitted in its entirety:
After the completion of the Olympic Games and the expiration of the mandate of the head coach of the Montenegrin water polo national team, Vladimir Gojković, and since in the previous period the current management of the VPSCG did not have the necessary majority to hold the scheduled regular session of the Assembly of the VPSCG, VPK Primorac believes that it is necessary changes.
As a reminder, on June 13 of the current year, the representatives of VPK Primorac Siniša Kovačević as vice president of VPSCG and Mirza Krcić as president of the Assembly of VPSCG, resigned from those positions due to dissatisfaction with the way of functioning and relations in VPSCG.
I believe that it is time to initiate necessary changes in VPSCG, because it is clear to all of us that it no longer works like this. With understanding and the most sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of the current president of VPSCG Đur Marić, we at VPK Primorac believe that things must start to change as soon as possible, and therefore publicly highlight the candidacy of our celebrated water polo player Veljko Uskoković for the new president of VPSCG. We are more than sure that Mr. Uskoković will bring new energy and freshness to the work of the Association, in order to set up, coordinate and direct the system of water polo sports in Montenegro, directly and expertly monitor the work of the clubs, but also propose solutions with the aim of the successful and efficient functioning of the VPSCG ", stressed the president of Primorje, Siniša Kovačević in the announcement.
