Alessandro Vitale is a new player for Olympic Roma!
Another market move for the Training Academy Olympic Roma, happy to announce the latest – perhaps – important purchase. The fifth new face is Alessandro Vitale, a universal role, arriving from Telimar Palermo. Born in 1997, Roman, Vitale is a player in the prime of his sporting maturity, having now played many seasons in Serie A1. The purchase of Alessandro represents the icing on the cake of a market as a protagonist for Mario and Luca Fiorillo's company.
Born and raised in the youth teams of S.S. Lazio Nuoto, with the Biancocelesti Vitale won a Scudetto in the U20 category, under the guidance of Claudio Sebastianutti. Not yet of age, he was immediately added to the first team of the eagles, led by the guru Pierluigi Formiconi. In between, two years on loan in Serie A2 at R.N. Latina, then six years of Serie A1 with Lazio, before landing in Palermo, where he played for two years at very high levels with Gu Baldineti's Telimar.
The welcome from president Mario Fiorillo: «Alessandro represents for us the completion of the team we had imagined. Although still young, Vitale already has many years of A1 behind him, with European cups and many appearances in the youth national team. He is a player who will give us stability and solidity, thanks to his ability to read the game. He can play in all roles on the perimeter: I am convinced that he will give a lot to the team in both phases of the game».
The words of Alessandro Vitale: «I am very happy to return to Rome, to my city. I am getting closer to my family, my friends and I can start thinking about my professional future. I made a life choice, as well as a water polo one. We are going towards a difficult championship, but we will face without fear. I think we can play our cards: we have good individuals and with the experience of coach Mario Fiorillo we will get some satisfaction. I thank the Training Academy Olympic Roma for giving me the opportunity to return to play in Rome after these years away. I hope to be a point of reference for the many boys at their first experience in Serie A1. I am convinced that with hard work in training we will reach the common goal".
