(Rio de Janeiro, September 11, 2023) Fluminense is the champion of the men's Brazil Open in 2023. The Rio de Janeiro team won the competition that ended last Sunday (10) and was held at the Julio de Lamare Aquatic Park, in Rio de Janeiro

The men's Brazil Open started on Wednesday and had nine participating teams. After the first phases, Fluminense and ABDA reached the final for the decisive dispute. The Rio de Janeiro team was better during the four quarters of the match and took the trophy, winning the game 17-8. Pinheiros beat Sesi VL and took third place. 

Guilherme Gomes, from Fluminense, was the top scorer of the competition, while Bernardo Gomes, also from Tricolor, was the MVP. Paulo Saad, Paineiras' goalkeeper, conceded the fewest goals during the competition. 

The 2023 Brasil Open was organized by the Brazilian Water Polo League, with the approval of the CBDA.
