2024 Men’s Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division schedule.

Comprised of Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colby College, Middlebury College, Tufts University and the University of Vermont, the North Atlantic Division will contest its 27th season in 2023 with previous titles held by Vermont (2022, 2023), Colby (2021), Tufts (1997, 1998, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2016), Bates (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2017, 2018, 2019), Dartmouth College (2003), Middlebury (2004, 2005), Boston College (2006), the United States Coast Guard Academy (2008), Amherst College (2011, 2012, 2014) and Northeastern University (2015). The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, September 21-22, with 12 games at Middlebury in Middlebury, Vt.

The final regular season tournament occurs on Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, as Colby in Waterville, Maine, hosts 12 games.

The order of finish from the regular season establishes the North Atlantic Division’s seeding for the combined Colonial/North Atlantic “A” and “B” Championships slated for Saturday-Sunday, October 19-20, at Middlebury, and Bowdoin in Brunswick, Maine.  The determination of which site hosts the “A” and “B” Championships will be resolved based on order of finish.

The “A” Championship will pit the top three finishers from the North Atlantic Division versus the top three teams from the Colonial Division in a nine-game event to determine an overall champion.  In addition, the top finishing teams in both divisions claim their respective group’s titles.

The “B” Championship pits the No. 4-to-6 seeds from the Colonial Division along with the No. 4-6 regular season North Atlantic Division finishers in another nine-game tournament.

The North Atlantic and Colonial Divisions’ top Division III finishers at the “A Championship both earn automatic berths to the 2024 Division III Collegiate Club Championship if the event is hosted this year.
