On the second day of the Inter-High School Water Polo Tournament, six second-round matches were held.

First up was Toba vs. Kochi Prefecture Union. Toba, last year's champion, showed off their offensive power, showing off their true strength. They piled up points without giving Kochi Prefecture Union any chance to attack, and Toba advanced to the quarterfinals with a score of 32 to 4.

The next match was Kanagawa Technical vs. Ogaki Higashi. In the early stages, Ogaki Higashi took the lead. Kanagawa Technical managed to hang on and the first half ended with a one-point lead. In the second half, Ogaki Higashi pulled away from Kanagawa Technical with consecutive points, and they held on to the two-point lead until the end, winning 8-10.

In the match between Otokuni and Kansai, the score was 1-3 in the first period, but Kansai exploded in the second period. They scored six points in one go and made it 1-9. Kansai's momentum did not stop in the second half, and Kansai ended up winning 3-20.

In the match between Naha Commercial and Saitama Sakae, it was a battle of points from Shoban. Saitama Sakae scored seven points in the first period. Naha Commercial scored six points in the second period. The winner was decided in the fourth and final period. After scoring one point, they scored nine points in one go. In the end, Saitama Sakae advanced to the quarterfinals with a score of 15 to 23, an 8-point difference.

In the match between Saikyo and Yamagata Technical High School, Saikyo's solid defense prevented them from scoring a goal until the third period. On the other hand, Saikyo steadily added points, finishing the third period with 17 points. Yamagata Technical High School finally scored a point in the final period, but that was it. Saikyo won 21 to 5.

The final match of the day was Maebashi Commercial High School vs Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School. Maebashi Commercial High School took the lead in the first period. Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School was not to be outdone, and came back in the second period to tie the score at 6 to 6. In the third period, both teams added two points each, and the final period began. Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School, riding the wave of consecutive points, scored five points. Maebashi Commercial only managed one goal, and Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School advanced to the quarterfinals with a score of 9 to 13.
