Media Day of Zodiac CNAB before heading to Malta for the Final Four

The Zodiac CN Atlètic Barceloneta is already focusing on trying to win its second Champions League title. The maritime club, which already has a continental champion title (2014), is looking to win the trophy in a Final Four that will take place in Malta. The team will start its participation this Friday from 19:30 against the Serbian Novi Beograd. The other semifinal will feature Ferencvaros and CN Marseille at 21:30.

The Barcelona team has held the traditional Media Day before the competition at its facilities in the Barceloneta neighborhood. With magnificent views of the beach and with the W Hotel in the background, the team led by Elvis Fatovic has met the press three days before the kickoff. One of the key names, Felipe Perrone, who will bid farewell to his impressive water polo career in Malta.

"In Malta, people live water polo with great passion and we are really excited about it. There will be a great atmosphere. Experience tells us that everything starts from scratch in a Final Four, that what you have done before does not matter," comments Felipe, with a smile.

"It is very special to reach this moment for me, to reach this Final Four. With all the journey, so many years, I did not expect at 39 years old to be able to play a Final Four," adds the Spanish-Brazilian, a legend of this sport worldwide.

On the other hand, Álvaro Granados, another key player of the team, says, "We arrive with the work done, with confidence in ourselves and in the group. We are going all out. I think Novi is a very strong team, their greatest virtue is intensity. If we manage to respond with good play and energy, we will win the match."

About Felipe's farewell, Granados says, "We do not think about the sentimental part. If there were not enough reasons already to win the Champions, Felipe's farewell would be the icing on the cake."

The sailors will set sail for La Valeta this Wednesday.
