First step towards qualification for ANO Glyfada, 9-5 against Panionios

ANO Glyfada took the lead towards qualifying for the semi-finals of the Women's A1 Water Polo Championship by defeating Panionios 9-5 at the "Ant. Dimitropoulos" Swimming Pool in the first match of the playoff quarterfinal phase.

Thus, ANOG now leads with 1-0 victories and needs one more to secure a spot in the semi-final phase. The second match of the series will take place on Wednesday 7/5 at 20:30 at the Nea Smyrni Swimming Pool. If a third match is necessary, it will be held on Saturday 10/5 in Glyfada.

Argyris Theodoropoulos' team appeared stronger in the second half and relying on their defense managed to even lead with a six-goal difference (9-3) in the last 3.53 minutes of the match. The only thing the visiting team managed to do was to narrow the gap.
