Olympiacos back on top, beats Alimos NAS BETSSON 18-10 (pics)
With five goals from Abbi Andrews and four from Vasiliki Pleuritou, Olympiacos beat Alimos NAS BETSSON 18-10 at the Piraeus swimming pool, in the match that concluded the 13th round of the Women's National A1 Water Polo Championship.
The "red-and-whites" returned to the top of the standings with 37 points, standing hand in hand with NO Vouliagmeni.
Olympiacos had an excellent start to the match, taking a 5-0 lead. In the beginning of the second period, Alimos NAS BETSSON closed the gap to 5-3, and the first half ended with a 8-4 lead for the hosts.
In the third quarter, the visitors got within two points (9-7), but in the early minutes of the fourth quarter, Olympiacos widened the lead to +7 (14-7), and later to +8 (17-9).
