Small youngsters won the Cup

The final tournament of the Croatian Cup for the youngest age groups - younger hopes - ended in Zagreb on Friday evening, at the swimming pool along the Sava. And the best young hope in the country is clearly Mladost. After winning the title of Croatian champion already this year in their age group, they have now convincingly triumphed in the competition for the national cup.

A total of 7 smooth and convincing victories, five in the group, and the last two on the last day of the competition. First in the semi-final against Cavtat, which they didn't really give many chances. After the first two minutes it was 3:0. Two minutes before the end of the second part 5:1, and in the middle of the third quarter 8:3. At the end 11:6.

In the final, Mladost was awaited by Jadran from Split, who in the second semi-final pair just as convincingly defeated Primorje EB from Rijeka. 4:1 at halftime, 7:3 at the end.

In the match for gold, Jadran had a better score in the first half of the match. The first part was scoreless, and then in the second it was 2:1 for the people of Split. The young sailors stopped there. By the end of the game, they did not score a single goal, while little Žapci scored 3, and won the cup with a final score of 4:2.

That is why the duel for third place, which Cavtat minimally won against Primorje, was uncertain. EB, 7:6.

Fifth place went to Medveščak, which was 8 goals better than Jug Adriatic osiguranje. Seventh place was decided by two clubs from Split, POŠK 1937 and Mornar, and Mornarevci were better by one goal with a goal a second before the end. Ninth place went to Solaris, who defeated Galeb MR from Makarska by three goals.
