Ancona - With an extremely intense defensive performance and equal efficiency in the concluding phase, Vela Ancona secures a victory over Rari Nantes Camogli and achieves the third consecutive positive result. Credit goes to a nearly perfect match played by the Ancona team, credit to a fantastic fourth period where the Dorians progressively pulled away following Camogli's attempt at a comeback, credit also to Firmani's saves, a stronghold in the final and decisive phase. The match didn't start well for Risso's boys, trailing 0-2 due to two converted penalties by Mugnaini. However, the Dorians didn't lose heart, clinging to their defense and with a mini-break of 3-0, two goals from the Spanish player Zurita and one from Diego Bartolucci in a man-up situation, they ended the first period 3-2. The second period followed suit with Camogli scoring through the Hungarian player Iriczfalvi (3-3), then another Doric mini-break with goals from Tommaso Milletti, Mengoli, and Diego Bartolucci, before Camogli reacted with a goal from Caliogna in a man-up situation seconds before the break (6-4). The Ligurians tried to react in the third period, scoring immediately with Iriczfalvi, and Pantaloni responding for Vela from a penalty shot, followed by Camogli finding the net through Mugnaini. Pantaloni scored again at the end of a superb action set up by Tommaso Milletti, and finally Caliogna scored from the perimeter in the bottom corner, 8-7 heading into the final break. However, it was in the fourth period that Vela stepped on the gas, closing all gaps for Camogli and scoring three more goals: first from Tommaso Milletti, then from Mattia Milletti, and finally Diego Bartolucci in a man-up situation, sealing the 11-7 victory, the second well-deserved win of the season for the Dorians
