Important Victory for PAOK DOMUS ERGO, 11-10 against NO Chios AURA
PAOK DOMUS ERGO had a tough time, but secured an important victory in the 10th match of Group B in the Men's A1 Water Polo Championship, defeating NO Chios AURA 11-10 at the Poseidonio Swimming Pool.
The hosts dominated completely in the first half of the match, managing to establish a comfortable five-goal lead (5-2). However, the island team did not give up and with an amazing comeback in the second half, they reduced the difference to three goals (10-7). In fact, at the beginning of the final quarter, NO Chios AURA came very close, narrowing the gap to one goal (10-8). Nevertheless, the hosts managed to maintain their lead until the end, eventually winning 11-10.
According to the Match Report, "at 4:23 of the fourth period, Chios' coach, Makis Voltirakis, was sent off with a red card for intense protesting, having already received a yellow card for the same reason."
With this victory, the "black-and-whites" climbed to 24 points and remain in 2nd place in Group B. On the other hand, the visitors are in 4th place with 17 points.
