División de Honor Masculina | Preview of Matchday 11

Four matches of Matchday 11 will take place this coming Saturday, December 14th. The CN Barcelona-Geodesic Real Canoe NC (18/12) and the derby CN Terrassa-KEIO CN Sabadell (22/01) have been postponed. The matches scheduled are as follows: CN Rubí-CE Mediterrani (10:45), CN Sant Andreu-CN Caballa Ciudad de Ceuta (15:00), SolarTradex CN Mataró-Santa Cruz Tenerife Echeyde (16:00) and EPlus CN Catalunya-Zodiac CN At. Barceloneta (18:00). This is the final chance to earn a spot in the next Copa del Rey (the top eight teams at the end of the first round).

We start with the opening match of Matchday 11 at the CN Molins between CN Rubí and CE Mediterrani (10:45). The team from the Valleys, currently in eleventh place, will host 'Medi' who comes from a crucial home victory against 'Cata'. The Valleys team knows that securing a Copa spot is almost impossible with the direct clash between Sant Andreu and Caballa at Pere Serrat.

Indeed, that match is vital in the race for the last Copa del Rey spot. Pere Serrat (15:00) will witness a 'battle' between CN Sant Andreu and CN Caballa Ciudad de Ceuta, crucial for the KO tournament. It's simple, the winner will be among the top eight teams at the end of the first round. The Ceutíes currently have one point more in the standings and hold the eighth position.

In the capital of Maresme (16:00), SolarTradex CN Mataró will face Santa Cruz Tenerife Echeyde. Separated by five points and with their Copa spot secured, the match promises excitement and unpredictability. Víctor González's team aims to widen the gap with the sixth place currently held by the Canarian squad.

In Piscina Sant Jordi (18:00), the Barcelona derby of the matchday takes place between EPlus CN Catalunya and Zodiac CN At. Barceloneta. The maritime team recently learned their quarterfinal opponents in the Champions League. Meanwhile, 'Cata' is bottom of the league and understands this isn't their season, but they will try to build momentum for a strong start in the second round.
