División de Honor Masculina | Matchday 10 Chronicle
This Saturday the entirety of Matchday 10 of the División de Honor Masculina was played, with the exception of the derby between Zodiac CNAB-CN Barcelona (10/12). The results were: KEIO CN Sabadell 19-6 CN Caballa Ciudad Ceuta, Santa Cruz Tenerife Echeyde 10-9 CN Rubí, Geodesic Real Canoe NC 6-18 CN Terrassa, CE Mediterrani 11-9 EPlus CN Catalunya, and CN Sant Andreu 11-17 SolarTradex CN Mataró.
The 10th matchday opened with the duel in Can Llong between KEIO CN Sabadell and CN Caballa Ciudad de Ceuta. A match in which Quim Colet's team were clear favorites against a newly promoted team that is having a great start to the season. The Vallesano team won 19-6, with the match practically decided at halftime (12-3). Five goals from Fran Valera, the top scorer.
At the Acidalio Lorenzo in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Echeyde hosted CN Rubí aiming to secure their fifth victory of the season. Albert Español's team managed to achieve this, but with a narrow margin (10-9). The home team had a good lead at halftime (7-3), but ended up struggling with Rubí's 3-0 run in the final stretch.
An interesting derby took place at Josep Vallès between CE Mediterrani, who wanted to take a definitive step towards securing their place in the Copa del Rey, and EPlus CN Catalunya, bottom of the league and looking to move up from that position and improve their performance. Jahzeel Martínez's team emerged victorious (11-9) in a hard-fought match where the visiting team paid for their slow start (5-1).
CN Terrassa, fourth in the table with 21 points, visited Pez Volador in Madrid. The capital team needed a win to enter the fight for a spot in the Copa del Rey against one of the top teams in the category. It was a clear victory for CN Terrassa (6-18), who displayed a flawless defense in the first two quarters (0-10). Gerard Cuacos scored four goals, the top scorer.
The matchday concluded with a very open duel between CN Sant Andreu and SolarTradex CN Mataró. With their Copa del Rey ticket already secured, Víctor González's team aimed to move closer to the TOP-4. SolarTradex CN Mataró achieved this with a convincing victory (11-17). The match was decided in the third quarter (3-6 for a final score of 7-12).
