Division of Honor Men | Preview of Matchday 10

Bridge day for some, but not for our División de Honor water polo teams. In the men's league, five matches will be played this Saturday, December 7: KEIO CN Sabadell vs. CN Caballa Ciudad Ceuta (11:00), Santa Cruz Tenerife Echeyde vs. CN Rubí (12:00), Geodesic Real Canoe NC vs. CN Terrassa (15:00), CE Mediterrani vs. EPlus CN Catalunya (18:00), and CN Sant Andreu vs. SolarTradex CN Mataró (19:30). The derby between Zodiac CNAB and CN Barcelona has been postponed to December 10.

The day kicks off with the clash between KEIO Sabadell and CN Caballa (11:00). The home team from Vallès comes into the game after a defeat in their last Champions League group stage match. However, they are heavy favorites against a Ceuta squad that narrowly lost (9-10) to SolarTradex Mataró in the previous round.

In the Canary Islands (12:00), Santa Cruz Tenerife Echeyde hosts CN Rubí in what promises to be an interesting and open match. The home side is currently sixth with 11 points, while Rubí sits in 11th place with six. The Vallès team recently lost at home to Sant Andreu, while the Canarians defeated “Cata” in Barcelona.

In Madrid (15:00), Geodesic Real Canoe NC faces CN Terrassa, which is fourth in the standings with 21 points and aims to stay within striking distance of the top three. Terrassa comes off a loss to league leader Zodiac CNAB and knows it won't be easy to win in the capital against Canoe, currently 10th in the table.

A Barcelona derby follows at 18:00 between CE Mediterrani and EPlus CN Catalunya in the Josep Vallès pool. Jahzeel Martínez’s squad takes on the last-place team in search of their fourth win of the season, while “Cata” looks to escape the bottom of the standings with a crucial victory.

Finally, an exciting matchup between CN Sant Andreu and SolarTradex CN Mataró takes place at Pere Serrat (19:30). The team from Maresme, already qualified for the Copa del Rey, visits a Sant Andreu side in great form, looking to take a big step toward the knockout tournament with a win.
