Radnički welcomes Dinamo for the farewell from the Champions League
In the last round of the Champions League group stage, Radnički's water polo team will welcome Dinamo from Tbilisi on Wednesday, at 6:15 PM, with free entry at the pool in Kragujevac.
It will also be a farewell for the Kragujevac audience from this season's participation in the Champions League, as Radnički has run out of chances to advance to the next round of the competition. Regardless of the outcome of this match, the people from Šumadija will finish third, and Dinamo fourth, but matches in the most elite European competition hold a special charm regardless of their competitive significance.
– This is the last match of the group stage, and considering that the team is new and we are still looking for our game and confidence, every match is important to us, regardless of being out of the run for the top eight. It will also serve as preparation for the derby against Jadran from Herceg Novi, and we also need to "secure" that third place. We continue the competition in the Euro Cup, which has been an extremely strong competition in the last two seasons, and we are moving forward– said Strahinja Rašović, one of Radnički's top scorers.
In the first clash in Georgia, Radnički struggled a lot, but in the end still managed to secure a victory with a goal in the last attack from center Nikola Murišić, who has shown throughout the season that he is a valuable addition to the Kragujevac team.
– The trip to Georgia was indeed very challenging from such a tough schedule, and we expected the match to be very difficult. Dinamo is a good team with many good individuals, and I certainly expect a good game, but also our much better performance compared to that first encounter. Every Champions League match brings a certain pressure, we do not want to disappoint and a victory would be welcome before the upcoming matches until the end of the mid-season. We are ready to take new points– concluded Murišić.
