It’s a simply devastating Evomet Vela Ancona that takes to the water at Passetto pool and with great determination and competitive fierceness imposes the first defeat of the season on Metanopoli. Impenetrable defense, great concentration, excellent shooting percentages, a clear superiority shown in all four quarters, even when Fileni stepped in goal for Firmani, who played a great game just like his teammates. If Vela Ancona had lost its way a bit in the first three matches of the season resulting in as many defeats, the Passetto today returned it to its peak condition, relentless in displaying all its anger towards the opponents from previous encounters. The result is a 14-6 that speaks for itself, Vela leading in the first quarter with Pantaloni from the penalty spot and Pieroni, Milan shortening the gap with Sarno in a power play, and Vela scoring again with Diego Bartolucci. Similar script in the second quarter: Tommaso Milletti scores, Cristaudo shortens the gap for Metanopoli in a power play, then Pantaloni strikes twice for a 6-2 lead at halftime. Evomet Vela extends the lead in the third quarter: Spaniard Zurita from the penalty spot, Pieroni, Bartolucci in numerical superiority (9-2), then Bini scores in power play for Milan, Zurita for Evomet in power play, and finally Paggini, for the 10-4 at the end of the third quarter. Vela is still hungry for goals in the fourth quarter, Diego Bartolucci scores, Sarno responds from the penalty spot, then Dottori in power play and Pierpaoli bring the goals for full tranquility, then Dani for Metanopoli and the ever-excited Pieroni for Vela set the final score at 14-6.
