Defeat and Elimination for Panionios, 18-11 Against De Tjaan
Panionios suffered their second defeat against De Tjaan with a score of 18-11 in the second leg of the Euro Cup women's quarter-finals. The "blue-reds" failed to overturn the result from the first match (12-10), which ultimately ended their journey in the tournament.
Athletically, the Greek team was competitive only in the first quarter, which ended in a draw at 2-2. From there on, the Dutch took the lead and extended their advantage as time passed. In fact, in the last quarter, De Tjaan was up by 5 points (14-9), a lead that they further extended by two goals to finalize the score at 18-11.
The top scorer for the winning team was Den Ouden with four goals, while Allen and Duli stood out for the hosts with three goals each.
