Zvezda breaks Vukovi's resistance and advances to a new Cup final
After Novi Beograd, the water polo team of Crvena Zvezda has also reached the final of the Serbian Cup in Šabac by defeating NBG Vukovi 11:5. This will be the third final where these two teams will compete for the trophy. Two years ago, the Red and Whites surprised Novi Beograd (11:10), while Novi Beograd returned the favor last season (18:15). The new final is scheduled for Saturday at 20:15, with live broadcast on RTS.
Vukovi could not match the determined Zvezda in the second semi-final. Belgrade's team took a 3:0 lead in the first quarter, indicating their place in the final. In the second quarter, Zvezda continued its dominance, reaching 6:2, but Gogov and Aleksandrov brought the Wolves back into the game, making it 6:4 at halftime. However, all doubts were removed in the third part of the match, as Zvezda scored four more goals, taking a 10:4 lead and comfortably closing the match.
Kristina Šulc was the most efficient with three goals, while Basara, Danković, Seman, and Radanović each scored two. On the other side, Draško Gogov scored two, followed by Gak, Ćorić, and Aleksandrov with one goal each.
