Lazio, what a joy: Diego Tresa and Gaia Acerbotti in the national team!
It's truly a magical moment for S.S. Lazio Nuoto. The two biancocelesti athletes Diego Tresa and Gaia Acerbotti have been respectively called up by the Settebello and the Setterosa for two gatherings with the national senior team for men and women. The 2007 class player will be training under the watchful eye of the head coach Sandro Campagna from December 15 to 18 in Avezzano, while the 2000 class goalkeeper will be in a camp with head coach Carlo Silipo and his staff from December 8 to 13 at the Polo Natatorio in Ostia.
Two fantastic news, following the victory of the Player Trophy 2024, achieved after 51 years since the last time it was won by the team of president Massimo Moroli. An immense pride for the return of a young Laziale player in blue, six years after Giacomo Cannella. Diego Tresa will have the opportunity to enter the new cycle of Sandro Campagna, after having already participated in three international competitions with the youth national teams. A debut appearance, instead, for Gaia Acerbotti: not only for her - at her first call-up to the national team - but also for Lazio Nuoto itself, which had never before seen one of its athletes in the Setterosa.
The general manager Orazio Piccinini: "The historic call-up of Gaia to the Setterosa and Diego to the Settebello gives us the strength to continue with the sacrifices that all of us are making, from the athletes and their families to the technical and managerial staff of S.S. Lazio Nuoto. I also want to thank the sponsors that allow us to carry out our high-level activities: Proteus, Polisistem Italia S.r.l., Cosmed S.r.l., Spazio Tecnico, and Conti Travel."
