A1 M - TeLiMar conquers the federal center of Ostia: victory by 12-6 over Olympic Roma

The TeLiMar Palermo reaches 10 points in the championship, which in the seventh round of A1 conquers the pool of the federal center Valco San Paolo di Ostia. Against the newly promoted Training Academy Olympic Roma, the match ends 6-12, played attentively by the Club dell'Addaura, able not to lose composure after the initial goal by the former player, Vitale. With organized defense and concrete attack, the red and blue team immediately responds, completes the comeback, and starts to widen the gap, securing the result. Now, they focus on the delicate challenge next Saturday, where the Baldineti-coached team will host Ortigia in Terrasini, in the first Sicilian derby of the season.

THE MATCH REPORT

The deadlock is broken by the guest of the day, Alessandro Vitale, who takes advantage of the double numerical superiority for the home team. Marini responds twice on extra player situations, for the Club dell'Addaura's lead after 3 minutes of play. The Palermitan team extends the lead, first with Boggiano and then with captain Lo Cascio, both in equal numbers, for 1-4, but the first period ends 2-4, with De Robertis scoring from distance.
The second quarter opens with Marini's third personal goal on an extra player situation. The team coached by Baldineti widens the gap with Fabiano for 2-6. The Romans reduce the gap to three with a penalty converted by De Robertis, but it doesn't last long, as Giliberti takes advantage of the extra player opportunity for 3-7, effectively closing the first half of the game.
Returning from the long break, with Peluso replacing Giannotti in goal, Ballarini scores 4-7 for the yellow and red team. However, TeLiMar remains focused and extends the lead to +4 with a counterattack by Mangiante. De Robertis responds. In the most convulsive moment of the match, Lo Dico restores order, fulfilling Baldineti's instructions during the timeout on an extra player play.
In the last eight minutes of the game, Baldineti brings back Bajic to the water, who had been sitting on the bench for a long time due to two early fouls in the first quarter. In a 3vs2 fast break, Marini scores his fourth goal of the day, bringing TeLiMar into double digits. Boggiano definitively dashes the home team's hopes 5 minutes before the end. For pride, Leporale adds his name to the scoresheet with an extra player goal, sealing the 6-11. Joy also for Giovinazzo: his goal of 6-12 closes the match.

The Ligure defender Emanuele Marini scores a poker of goals, in his second year at TeLiMar: "We played very well in the defensive phase, turning the work into attack. We played with our heads held high, with determination, as Gu asked of us and as everyone expected from us. I am happy for my teammates and for what we are doing. Thanks to this victory, we will be able to work more calmly, preparing specifically for the derby. We will focus on Ortigia's attack, on our defense, and on the counterattacks that we should try to implement in every action."
