With characteristic ease, Apollon Smyrnis secured a comfortable victory at the Alimos swimming pool, defeating AEK 30-8 in the context of the 7th matchday of the Men's A1 Water Polo Championship.
The "blue-white" team made it clear from the start that they were the undisputed favorites in the match. They initially took a four-goal lead (2-6), which they extended by five goals before the end of the first half (4-13).
The rest of the match followed a similar pattern, with Petar Randjanovic's team reaching 30 goals and keeping AEK to a single-digit goal count to secure the 30-8 victory. Foskolos was the top scorer for the visitors with 8 goals, while Papadimitriou stood out for the hosts with three goals.
