It seemed that Filip Filipović (37) had ended his impressive career at the Final Eight in Malta. One of the best players has played the last few seasons for Olympiacos and Novi Beograd.

Filip Filipović will play for Kuwait's Al Kacija in the national championship. In this club, former Bečej player Milan Tričković successfully works as a coach in the youth categories.

- Four teams will play. The dominant club in senior water polo is Kuwait. They have been winning titles for the last four years. In Al Kacija, we win first places in the youth categories. The club has decided to try to win all the titles and that is why they made an agreement with Filipović.

Tričković, who used to be an assistant to Aleksandar Krstonošić in the women's national team in the late nineties, provides further explanations.

- The league lasts a week. Each team plays two matches against each other. Two days of play followed by a day off. Everything happens at the Kuwait pool. Besides Kacija and Kuwait, Al Kazma and Al Arabi participate. Those two clubs do not have foreign players.

Finally, Tričković added that a meeting will be held on Sunday and the league will most likely start on December 8. What Filipović's arrival will mean for the Kuwait championship does not need to be mentioned...
