Eurocup | CN Barcelona, looking to continue their spectacular winning streak against Sabac (11/21, 8pm)

CN Barcelona, already mathematically qualified for the Eurocup round of 16 after winning all four games played, aims to push even further. The team led by Andrei Iosep, leader of Group D, will visit the Serbian Sabac this Thursday starting at 8:00 pm. There will still be one last match on December 5 against Plus Honved in Hungary.

As we mentioned, the goal of the Spanish water polo giant is to maintain their perfect record in this Group D where they are the clear leaders (with a six-point lead over the second team). In fact, Iosep's team also has the opportunity to secure that top spot and advance as a top seed to the round of 16 of this second continental competition. So far, CNB has three wins at home and one away (in Athens, precisely). The last two matches remaining for the Barcelona team are away from the Nova Escullera, where they have been unbeatable in this group stage.

On the other hand, Sabac, precisely, is the only team that can snatch the top spot from CN Barcelona. Everything depends on winning this Thursday (by five or more goals) and hoping for a misstep by the Spaniards in the last match and winning their game against Panathinaikos. In short, it's a rather remote possibility. Nevertheless, Andrei Iosep's men will be on high alert.

So far, Sabac has two losses (one of them 14-9 in Barcelona and the other against Panathinaikos) and two victories (both against Honved).
