Girl adolescent F8: Straignt UVSE success
2024. May 19, 18:38
The UVSE team won the final eight of the girls' youth championship very smoothly. The semi-final against FTC-Telekom brought a more exciting battle than the final, in which the purples did not give KSI a chance. The bronze medal was won by the people of Szentes.
The two later finalists easily cleared the first hurdle in Friday's quarter-finals, both UVSE and KSI advanced by scoring 16 goals. (against Tatabánya and Eger). Fradi also had no problem pushing BVSC aside, while Szentes and Dunaújváros were embroiled in a serious battle. After 4-4, the people of Szentes were able to pull ahead with two, and from there a chasing race began, but the people of New Town could only close to one, and they did not manage to equalize.
The next day, the semi-finals of UVSE and Fradi followed a similar scenario. Here, at the beginning of the second half, the purples went 5-2, their opponent clawed back to 5-4, but this was followed by two more goals from Újpest. After 7-5 at halftime, the greens came back twice to score a goal, and at 8-7 they had two balls for the iks, but they didn't use it, and UVSE then scored two in 84 seconds, and a comfortable, 10-7- and turned to the closing section with an advantage. And there, Mira Drávucz led by four, and although Fradi soon halved the difference, they managed to respond immediately at 11-9, which effectively decided the match.
KSI brought an even more serious battle and the Szentes clash, here one goal was scored in the first quarter, just like in the second - then the sports school students were able to equalize 21 seconds before the break. When the team from Szentes scored twice in quick succession after five minutes of scrimmage, the 2-4 advantage seemed like a serious loss in the light of what had happened in the match up to that point. However, KSI first improved with an action goal by Janka Korpás, and then 6 seconds before the whistle, Amira Kemény equalized, i.e. the final part also started as a draw. After three minutes, Zsófi Horváth scored from a man advantage, but KSI's Horváth, Lilla, answered immediately, so they were tied at 5-5 with 4:26 left. Both teams had chances, but KSI scored the winning goal, Alaksza Kinga scored a goal 56 seconds before the end. The people of Szentes were able to serve once more, six against five, but they failed to find a goal.
On Sunday, more one-sided matches took place for the medals. It's true, the team from Szentes managed to cause a moderate nervous breakdown to the coaching staff and the parents, after they gradually surrendered their confident 10-5 advantage in the bronze medal match. Fradi fought hard, they were already at 10-8 in the middle of the quarter, but they were only able to score the next one 6 seconds before the whistle, so despite the 4-0 score in the last quarter, the bronze went to Szentesi.
< p>In the final, UVSE didn't give KSI many chances. Although at the beginning, the sports school students were still in the lead at 1-2, then the purples started, they scored four goals in the first half, and in the second half they added two more, with which they already went 7-3. KSI was able to break the deadlock just 15 seconds before the whistle, but since two more UVSE goals came from two attacks at the beginning of the third, the big questions were almost decided at 9-4. The purples confidently maintained their advantage, their victory could not be in doubt for a moment. >QuarterfinalsUVSE–Tatabánya Womens WP 16-4
