Ekipe Horizon achieves the fifth victory in as many championship games, defeating Bogliasco 1951 in front of their supporters.
Today, the team from Catania indeed defeated the team from Liguria 16-5 at the Nesima pool (CT), reaching 15 points in the standings.
The game was dominated from the start, with the Catania team leading 6-2 at the end of the first half. The other three quarters also favored the red and blue team, with scores of 2-1, 4-1, and 4-1 respectively.
Charlize Andrews was the top scorer of the match with 4 goals, while Bronte Halligan, Chiara Tabani, and Gaia Gagliardi each scored twice. Robin Jutte, Giulia Viacava, Dafne Bettini, Aurora Longo, Morena Leone, and Sofia Moschetti each scored one goal.
At the final whistle, the number 9 of Ekipe Horizon commented: "As every year - Gaia Gagliardi said - Bogliasco enters the Serie A1 championship with a roster that has a very young average age, thanks to a generational change that comes from the youth team. They are always full of surprises, but for us, this was an important match to improve and gain more confidence. The same goes for the challenges against Rapallo and Sant Andreu, and we will face them with the same attitude. We are certainly happy with the positive streak in this first part of the season, but we want to maintain it and we know that to do so we will have to work hard. We want to make the most of the match against Rapallo to be prepared for the Cup match, which is certainly important in our group but also has the taste of revenge for us. We are aware that last season against them, we did not give everything we should have and could have, so now we want to do everything to redeem ourselves."
On Tuesday, November 19 at 3:00 PM, Ekipe Horizon will play at Rapallo for the advance of the sixth day of Serie A1. On Saturday 23rd at 5:00 PM, the red and blue team will face Sant Andreu in Spain in the third day of Group D in the Champions League.
